Sheryl Swoopes-Tellison, also known as Airswoopes22, is a legendary figure in the world of basketball. Born on March 25, 1971, she made her mark as a forward for the Tulsa Shock and later as a player-coach for the Seattle Storm.

Swoopes' accolades are numerous. She holds the all-time scoring record for a single season in the WNBA, with a staggering 955 points in the 1992-93 season. Her average of 24.9 points per game during that season remains unmatched.

College Career

Before joining the WNBA, Swoopes played college basketball at Texas Tech University. As a Red Raider, she led the team to the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive seasons. She was a three-time All-American and was named the 1993 National Player of the Year.

WNBA Career

Swoopes' WNBA career spans over a decade. She played for the Houston Comets, Seattle Storm, and Tulsa Shock. With the Comets, she won four WNBA championships and was named the WNBA Most Valuable Player in 2000 and 2002.

In 2005, Swoopes became the first player in WNBA history to score 4,000 points. She retired from the league in 2011 as one of the most successful and decorated players in its history.
